Our Special Dottie the Quoll Has Arrived at Gumnut! 🥰

We are absolutely bursting with joy to announce the arrival of our very special guest, Dottie the Quoll! This delightful creature has made her way to Gumnut, and she's already captured all of our hearts.

Dottie's arrival is the result of the incredible generosity of our school community. Thanks to your wonderful donations to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), we were able to adopt this charming quoll. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, and especially to those who showed their spotty spirit by wearing something spotty to school! Your enthusiasm and support truly made this dream a reality.

Dottie is now happily settling into her new home, a thoughtfully created "enclosure" designed with natural and recycled materials. We wanted to provide her with a comfortable and stimulating environment, and the result is a perfect little haven. The best part? Our children are able to come and say hello, and even give Dottie a gentle pat. The smiles and excitement have been absolutely priceless!

To commemorate this special occasion, we've also received a beautiful adoption certificate, which we will proudly display. It serves as a reminder of our commitment to wildlife conservation and the positive impact we can make when we work together.

Dottie's presence is already bringing so much joy and educational opportunities to our children. We are excited to watch as they learn more about quolls and the importance of protecting our native wildlife. We will be sure to post updates, and pictures of Dottie as she settles in.
